About Taclonex Scalp

What is Taclonex Scalp?

Taclonex Scalp is a topical anti-psoriatic medication prescribed to treat plaque psoriasis of the scalp. It is a combination of the betamethasone, a corticosteroid, and calcipotriene, a form of vitamin D. It works by reducing substances that cause inflammation and decreasing the skin cell reproduction rate. It is available only by prescription.

How do I take Taclonex Scalp?

Taclonex Scalp is applied to the affected area of the head once a day for two weeks or until the condition has cleared. Do not use more than 100g per week; treatment should not exceed 8 weeks. To apply, shake the bottle thoroughly, then part the hair and apply the recommended amount to the affected area, gently massaging it into the scalp. Thoroughly wash hands immediately after use. This product is not to be used anywhere other than the scalp.

What if I forget to take a dose of Taclonex Scalp?

If you forget your daily dose of Taclonex Scalp, apply it as soon as you remember and are able. However, if it is almost time for the next application, skip the one missed and follow the regular schedule. Do not increase the amount used or increase the frequency of application to make up for a missed dose.
