How do I take Enablex?

Enablex is administered in tablet form and taken orally, either with or without food. The frequency of dosage will depend on the medical profile of the patient. Do not bite, chew, or crush the tablet. The initial dose is 7.5mg, but it may be increased after two weeks if deemed necessary. Continue taking this medication until otherwise instructed by your healthcare provider.

What if I forget to take a dose of Enablex?

  • You have, or have had, blockages of the urinary tract or digestive system, severe constipation, kidney disease, or benign prostatic hypertrophy

  • You have, or have had, glaucoma, or myasthenia gravis

What are the possible side effects of taking Enablex?

Some patients have reported side effects after taking Enablex. Less severe symptoms include constipation or diarrhea, dry eyes or mouth, stomach pain or upset stomach, and general weakness. If any of these conditions persist or worsen, contact your physician for assistance.

Severe side effects requiring immediate medical attention include signs of an allergic reaction (hives, itching, rash, swelling of the face, mouth, lips, throat, or tongue; difficulty breathing or swallowing); problems passing urine, or burning or pain while urinating.
