About Seebri

Seebri contains the drug glycopyrrolate, an anticholinergic prescribed to treat symptoms of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It works by relaxing airway muscles to prevent bronchospasms and similar air obstructions in order to improve breathing. It is not prescribed for use during a severe COPD attack.

The Seebri medicine comes packaged as capsules that are used in conjunction with a special inhaler. Typical dosing is one capsule twice daily; however, dosing will be determined by the patient’s medical profile. If you have never used this type of device, ask your healthcare provider to demonstrate how to load the inhaler and operate it. Follow the dosing and inhaler instructions exactly.

If you miss a scheduled dose of Seebri, take it as soon as you remember and are able. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the one missed and return to the prescribed schedule. Do not increase the amount taken or change the schedule to make up for a dose that was missed.

If an overdose of the Seebri drug occurs, call the Poison Control Center at 1-800-222-1222 or emergency services at 911. Signs of an overdose may include sudden and extreme dizziness, eye pain, blurred vision, nausea, problems urination, or severe vomiting.

Before taking Seebri, tell your doctor if:

  • You are allergic to glycopyrrolate or any of the ingredients in the Seebri drug

  • You are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or are nursing a child

  • You are taking any medications, vitamins, or supplements

  • You have kidney disease

  • You have an enlarged prostate, bladder obstruction, or urinary problems

  • You have asthma

  • You have narrow-angle glaucoma

Some side effects have been reported by those taking Seebri. Mild side effects should be monitored and reported to your doctor is they persist or worsen. These include sneezing, sore throat, a stuffy nose, or other cold-like symptoms. If you exhibit signs of an allergic reaction (wheezing, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or mouth, a rash, or severe itching) seek medical help immediately.

Keep the Seebri capsules tightly sealed in their blister pack until it is time to use one. Remove only one capsule at a time. Do not expose the medicine to extremes of temperature and humidity, and keep it and the inhaler out of the reach of children. Dispose of any unused capsules according to the instructions of your pharmacist.

Seebri is not approved for anyone younger than 18. Seek medical attention if your breathing worsens or does not improve. For best results, use Seebri regularly; be sure to refill the prescription before the supply of the Seebri medicine is exhausted. This drug may cause extreme dizziness; do not drive, operate heavy machinery or equipment, use power tools, or handle firearms or explosives until its effects are known. Contact your doctor if you become pregnant while using this medication.
