About Glycopyrrolate

Glycopyrrolate comes as a tablet and it is a generic anticholinergic drug used to treat ulcers. It is typically used in combination with other drugs. Glycopyrrolate works by decreasing stomach acid production.

Glycopyrrolate tablets are to be taken orally and this drug is typically prescribed to be taken 2 or 3 timers per day. Consult with your doctor for specific instructions on how to use this medication.

Take your missed dose of Glycopyrrolate as soon as your remember to take it, unless it is almost time for the next dose. If this is the case, skip the missed dose and resume the regular dose schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.

Before using Glycopyrrolate, tell your doctor if:

  • you are allergic to Glycopyrrolate or any other medications

  • you are taking any prescription or over-the-counter medications, vitamins, or supplements

  • you have or have ever had glaucoma

  • you have or have ever had enlargement of the prostate, ulcerative colitis, myasthenia gravis, gastrointestinal disease, overactive thyroid, high blood pressure, heart failure, rapid or irregular heartbeats, coronary artery disease, hiatal hernia with reflux

  • you have or have ever had disorders of the nervous system

  • you have or have ever had kidney or liver disease.

  • you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or if you are breastfeeding

  • If you are having surgery of any kind, tell your doctor you are taking Glycopyrrolate

  • Alcohol may increase the drowsiness effect of Glycopyrrolate.
